ANXIETY COUNSELING

“Why can’t I do it? Why does this happen to me? What will they think of me?”

All of us worry and get scared from time to time; however, those with severe anxiety may feel consumed by fears of things that might be perceived as irrational to others. If these fears are impacting your life and debilitating your mental health, then it could be an anxiety disorder. It can be extremely hard for people to relate to those who are consumed by the impending anxious doom, and as a result, many people don’t know how to help someone suffering with anxiety. There are many symptoms of anxiety, but these are the most common:

·      Feeling “on-edge”

·      Uncontrollable feelings of worry

·      Sleep disturbances

·      Irritability and concentration difficulties

·      Panic

Anxiety disorders may feel eternal and inescapable, but they are treatable. Treatments such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure Therapy, Mindfulness Techniques, and Coping Skills are used to help those suffering with anxiety. At Anchor Counseling, our clinicians have the expertise at treating anxiety disorders and we will help you determine what course of treatment is the most beneficial for you.

It is time to gain control over your life again and start living.
