Equine Therapy at Stable Minds
Anchor Counseling is pleased to announce that we are now offering Equine Assisted Psychotherapy and Equine Assisted Learning. Equine Assisted Psychotherapy is offered to our clients ages 11 and over, who may be experiencing anxiety, depression, mood issues and trauma history. Equine Assisted Learning to those who may not have mental health issues but struggle with anger, stress, difficulty expressing emotions or feeling stuck. Equine therapies are primarily based on the ground with the horse, rather than riding. Both programs will be offered at Stable Minds, 43w043 Campton Hills Road in Elburn, IL. Equine Assisted Psychotherapy may be covered by your insurance.
Our Team.
Founded in October 2025, Stable Path is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization developed to remove financial barriers to equine-assisted psychotherapy in two ways. The mission is to provide scholarships to clients in order to reduce financial burden, while also supplying vital care of the therapy horses and facility. The goal is to promote healing, connection, and personal growth.
